GIGLI TOWEL SET

Our Gigli towel set is one of our most sophisticated embroidery. Executed on an extremely soft terry, the embroidery is created with chain stitch embroidery.

The peculiarity of this embroidery is that it is designed entirely by hand, afterwards it is the knowledgeable skills of the tailsor that will embroider the design using a chain-stitch embroidery machine. 

The chain stitch is an embroidery technique in which a series of ring stitches create a particular motif, which recalls the shape of a chain. This type of embroidery has a very ancient origin: in fact, it is possible to find fabrics and clothes worked with silk thread, dating back to the fifth century BC.

The set is composed of:

• 1 Bath Towel ( cm 60 x 120 cm / inches 24 x 47) 
• 1 Hand Towel ( cm 40 x 60 cm / inches 16 x 24)
